A lot of sellers ask about having an open house when they list their home for sale.
An open house is basically a set time frame your Realtor has advertised that your house will be
available for viewing by prospective buyers. This really is a great opportunity for people to
view your house as well as to get your home networked with your neighbors. Many times a
neighbor will know of a co-worker or friend that is interested in living in their neighborhood.
During the first two weekends of a listing is the best time to hold open houses. This is the
period the neighbors will be driving by and wondering what your home looks like. If the home

If you are interested in having open houses then make sure your Real Estate Agent
holds it open for the first few weekends and also offers to have it on the Broker??s Caravan,
which is an open house for other agents in your area. This increases the chances that an agent
will see your house and tell his or her clients about it and, in turn, this helps increase the
likelihood of finding a buyer.
